What we collect
When you use CreatorCrawl, we collect:
- Account information — email address, name, and password hash when you sign up
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never store your card details
- Usage data — API requests, endpoints called, timestamps, and credit consumption
- Analytics data — page views, referral source, and device type via PostHog
How we use it
We use your data to:
- Provide and maintain the CreatorCrawl API service
- Process payments and manage your credit balance
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, purchase receipts)
- Monitor service health and prevent abuse
- Improve the product based on usage patterns
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party services
We use these services to operate CreatorCrawl:

Cookies
We use minimal cookies:
- Session cookie — keeps you logged in. Essential, no opt-out needed
- Theme preference — stores your light/dark mode choice in localStorage (not a cookie)
- Analytics — PostHog may set cookies for anonymous usage tracking
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Data retention
- Account data — retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Usage logs — retained for 90 days for billing and debugging purposes
- Payment records — retained as required by tax and financial regulations
Your rights
You can:
- Access your data by logging into your dashboard
- Export your usage history from the usage page
- Delete your account from the settings page — this removes all personal data within 30 days

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to rectification, restriction of processing, and data portability.
Security
We protect your data with:
- HTTPS encryption on all connections
- Hashed passwords (never stored in plaintext)
- API keys that can be revoked at any time
- Infrastructure hosted on Cloudflare with DDoS protection
Children
CreatorCrawl is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of CreatorCrawl after changes constitutes acceptance.
